COMIC BOOK GEEK - I guess I failed to mention that I am a die hard DC Comics fan. I have been a too enthusiastic fan of their material ever since I could read! Something as simple as comics feeds the need of my inner child as nothing else can - nothing like a rainy Sunday afternoon curled up on the couch and reading a stack of funny books!

A LOVE AFFAIR WITH PHOTOGRAPHY I may not be the be a world renowned photographer, and chances are I never will be either, but I do love using a digital camera and capturing what I can of nature and architecture - to be able to snap that one perfect picture at that one perfect time. The pictures below were all taken by me in NYC, St Petersburg, FL and Ft Lauderdale during my vacations over the past few years. I love the Big Apple - it is just so photogenic no matter where you go. Of course I could take the normal shots - Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, but I have never been known to be normal. I like to bide my time, walk, snap what appeals to my eye and interpretation of beauty, so this is pretty much what I came up with.
ICEHOUSE- ACT I Jared R. Eaton (A poem written in tribute to the Aussie band "Icehouse" Aye, love is a Mysterious Thing Let’s set the Big Wheel of Love In Motion As we head on down to the Icehouse Filling the night with our commotion Baby You’re So Strange, but Lucky Me To stumble across you and your love Eyes so blue...Trojan Blue, Electric Blue Girl In the Moon descended from above Steer away, don’t Touch the Fire For surely we must be in Paradise This one moment suspended in time As we gaze deeply into each other’s eyes Believe me, baby, I love you so I don’t want to see your tears turn to ice For there are No Promises in the Great Southern Land Perhaps this last night I’ll be able to stifle your cries My love is with you always Though soon I shall leave But if fate is true to her ways Together again we shall be So lift your head up high And wipe away those sad salty tears Aye, love is a Mysterious Thing Lasting between us throughout the years 04/04/90
ICEHOUSE- ACT II Jared R. Eaton (Follow up tribute to my favorite band of all time - Icehouse) ICEHOUSE- ACT II It could have been Anybody's War that Indian Summer We were Heroes in the Harbour Town, Knockin' Em Down But with Just A Word it all came crashing down Driving Me Backwards, Into the Wild We had had such Big Fun, but All Tomorrow's Parties have passed on The Big Wheel turned to Feed the Machine, and like those who have gone on before I'm a lone soldier marching towards the Great Southern Land, Cast out from those I've saved Strolling down Angel Street towards that last Miracle Mile I Cross the Border past Invisible People And I breathe in life anew The Colours fade and I find myself in a Labyrinth Of endless possibilities...Arabia, Berlin, Jericho Bay, Heaven The night sky falls; gravity releases me A Break In the Clouds as the Girl In the Moon smiles She tells me Anything Is Possible, just gotta Break These Chains Let There Be Love and the Icehouse shall set you free I Can't Help Myself as I reach for her The sky explodes in Electric Blue And for a moment I go Crazy.... 10/21/03
